idk, fanon makes me think he's into his cream suit? He's certainly dedicated to it XD (or rather, the animators are lazy/low-budget, but hey).

But everyone else gets fancy clothes or decent clothes in this AU to some degree so he's definitely wrong-footed, the poor country mouse.
